St David’s Day Lunch Banquet
St. David, or Dewi Sant, is the patron saint of Wales. He founded monastic settlements in which monks had to pull the plough without draught animals, drank only water and ate only bread with salt and herbs. Little could he imagine 1,500 years later, when his feast day would be marked by a lunch banquet!
